“Greek” will pick up as Spring Break is over and the gang returns to campus for the conclusion of their school year. The upperclassmen explore new relationships that turn love triangles into quadrangles, and academic aspirations take fascinating turns as the upcoming senior year looms. As initiation approaches, the freshman pledges’ devotion is put to the test to determine whether they’re accepted into the fraternities and sororities. Created by Patrick Sean Smith, “Greek” is executive-produced by Piller/Segan in association with ABC Family. This season Cassie and Charles take their relationship to new heights and Tay and Lizzie also delve further into their passions - Tay starts creating his own music, and Lizzie gets recruited to attend a prestigious private school. Eddie and Jenn meet a powerful new family who promise better things for the community, but despite early signs of renewal in the neighborhood, their changes may not be what’s best for the Heights. The cast includes Russell Hornsby, Nicki Micheaux, Erica Hubbard, Mishon Ratliff, Rhyon Brown, Robert Adamson and Michael Reilly Burke. Kathleen McGhee-Anderson is executive producer/showrunner, David Ehrman and Dawn Urbont are co-executive producers, Dayna Lynne North is supervising producer and Kevin Inch serves as a producer. “Lincoln Heights” is produced by ABC Family.

Rex Features

The Hills star Lauren Conrad has signed up to make a guest appearance in ABC comedy-drama Greek.

The TV personality, also known as LC, has agreed to play herself in the second season finale. She will appear in scenes with Spencer Grammer’s character Casey Cartwright.

“It’s a dream sequence in which Casey and LC are best friends,” series creator Sean Smith told Entertainment Weekly. “Casey has a big decision she has to make, and she’s like, ‘LC, what do I do? Advise me!’”

Smith revealed that the scenes will be similar to “when Frankie Avalon is telling Frenchie what do to in Grease.” He added: “Casey holds LC in that high esteem.”

Greek’s second season begins on August 26 in the US.

‘Greek’ Casting Couch: Charisma Carpenter Returns

News No Comments »

Charisma CarpenterThe people who bring us ABC Family’s hit college dramedy Greek never take a break.

Earlier this month, the news spread that Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel alum Charisma Carpenter will be reprising her Season One role as national Zeta Beta Zeta representative Tegan Walker. On the episode “Black & White and Read All Over,” the imposing character was responsible for investigating the scandal that ultimately rocked the entire world of fictional Cyprus-Rhodes University’s Greek system.

Never fear though, fans. When Carpenter returns on Greek’s second-season premiere, she’ll be lending a hand instead of breathing down ZBZers’ necks. Apparently, Casey and her sisters are going to encounter a troublesome pledge, and Tegan will try to help them survive the predicament.

It’s always nice to have Carpenter around, but I wish this were an ongoing engagement instead of just another one-shot appearance. I still don’t understand why the actress never landed another regular TV gig after her consistently excellent work on Angel.
